Over the past few days, Arval has adapted its organization to proactively address the escalating COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation. In this context, and as part of BNP Paribas, we, in Belgium, rigorously follow the directives of our Group and strictly apply the recommendations of the competent authorities.
In order to allow as many employees as possible to work from home in a fully digital environment, we have introduced 'split teams'. Physical presence in our buildings is kept to a strict minimum. Mirroring many of our clients, we are drastically reducing the number of internal and external meetings. We now communicate through a variety of digital channels, including conference calls, Webex and Skype. Two years ago, we already put in place an extensive digital working programme at Arval. And today, that is our backbone to face the challenging times ahead.
The very essence of our core business, full service leasing, is to protect our customers. We offer you the opportunity to outsource the risks associated with financing, owning, managing and selling fleets worldwide to Arval and BNP Paribas. In this fast evolving situation of Covid-19, we will do everything that is in our power to offer you the best possible service. We also continue to support you commercially with adapted solutions that we have prepared in recent days and weeks.
Our account teams remain available to answer any questions you may have and proactively offer adapted solutions that can be of help in these challenging times. Above all, they will offer you proactive advice on what to do if you are in need of vehicles at short notice, but also on adjustments to end of contract terms. In this way, we guarantee you the flexibility you need for the coming weeks and months, assuming a disruption in the vehicles’ production lines and delivery chains.
From now on, we will keep you updated on a regular basis through various channels and mainly through our account teams. Rest assured, we are making every effort to help you in the best possible way while protecting the health of our own employees.
